A clip, of substantially U-shape in cross section, for use in attaching draught-excluding or trimming strips to a flange is produced from a strip or sheet 1 which is slit transversely at spaced points 2 and 4 and then stretched longitudinally to open the slits. The expanded strip is then bent into a U-configuration, Fig. 7. The legs 5 may be inturned at 6 or may be provided with inturned tongues on their vertical edges, or may be perforated to form inwardly directed tongues.
