The invention relates to a system (1) for collecting food with a view to the cooking thereof in the presence of steam. Said system (1) includes a substantially rigid basket (2) that is intended to contain the food and moreover includes a booster (3) designed to be interposed between a holding surface and the basket (2) so as to keep the basket (2) spaced apart from the holding surface. The basket (2) and the booster (3) are respectively provided with a first and second complementary attachment means that mechanically interact so as to removably secure the booster (3) to the basket (2). Said system is characterized in that said mechanical interaction between the first and the second attachment means implement a resilient change in the shape of one and/or the other of the first and second attachment means so that said resilient change in shape generates, in return, a force that contributes to the attachment of the booster (3) onto the basket (2).
