PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weighing apparatus which can accumulate a large number of fragile objects to be weighed without destroying them and weigh them and allows smooth charging and discharging by a simple structure. SOLUTION: The weighing apparatus includes: a hopper having a first opening to which the objects to be weighed are charged and a second opening from which the objects to be weighed are discharged; a gate for opening and closing the second opening; a weight detector for detecting the weight of the objects to be weighed charged to the hopper; a hopper tilting mechanism which tilts the hopper so that the second opening may be lowered than the first opening to change the tilt angle of the hopper; and a controller which controls the gate and the hopper tilting mechanism so that the weight of the objects to be weighed charged on the basis of the detection value of the weight detector with the second opening closed by the gate and the hopper tilted is measured to leave the second opening opened by the gate when the weight to be measured becomes a predetermined weight.
