PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus, display control method and program with which user convenience can be improved when displaying on a display picture a broadcasting picture based on a broadcasting signal and a browser picture based on received data.

SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus in which a broadcasting picture based on a received broadcasting signal and/or a browser picture based on received data are displayed on a display screen is provided with: a determination unit for determining whether a processing start condition set to setting information is satisfied on the basis of the setting information setting display processing for display of the browser picture and the processing start condition for performing the display processing when the browser picture is displayed on the display screen, and the received broadcasting signal; and a display processing section for performing the display processing set in the setting information when it is determined that the processing start condition is satisfied, and displaying the browser picture corresponding to the performed display processing and the broadcasting picture based on the received broadcasting signal while superimposing them on each other.
