PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control an elevator system without touching operation buttons. SOLUTION: The elevator system 10 includes the plurality of operation buttons installed for operating a car 2; detecting sections respectively installed on the operation buttons which perform noncontact detection of a finger of a passenger 4 approaching the operation buttons in order to operate the operation buttons; and a determination section for determining which operation button is operated by the passenger 4, based on output information from the detection sections.
