PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging control method for an electric vehicle, which allows the electric vehicle to be efficiently charged using an existing electric facility without installing a new electric facility in multistory parking garages in general. SOLUTION: In charging the electric vehicle, during the stop of a vehicle storage mechanism in the multistory parking garage 1, the power supply capacity of the multistory parking garage 1 is set to the maximum use state to charge the electric vehicle (pattern (B)), and when the vehicle storage mechanism is under operation for another vehicle that enters or leaves the multistory parking garage 1, switching to charging with a small amount of electric power, within a range not hindering the operation of the vehicle storage mechanism (pattern (C)), is performed.
