PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high output and high efficiency of a generator without causing an increase in cost. SOLUTION: The generator 1 includes a stator 3 with a plurality of salient poles 14 wound with a coil 7, and a rotor 2 rotatably disposed in the outer periphery of the stator 3 and mounted with a plurality of permanent magnets 6. The salient poles U1, U2, U3 or the like having the same phase are disposed adjacently in the circumferential direction, and the respective adjacent salient poles U1, U2, U3 or the like are disposed at the same electric angle. An angleθp (mechanical angle) between the respective salient poles having the same phase is set to 360 degrees/N (N: number of poles of permanent magnet 6). An angleθ2 (mechanical angle) between the adjacent salient poles (for example, U1, W6) having different phases is set toθ1-θ1/number of phases X (θ1: arrangement interval of permanent magnets 6=θp).
