PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a table for enabling a person to smoothly go in and out of a seat, eliminating the need of positioning every time a person goes in and out, having simple structure, being manufactured at a low cost, and preventing a top plate from easily being moved carelessly. SOLUTION: The table 1 includes a modesty panel 4 provided on the upper end of a support 3 and the top plate 5 supported movably through a slide mechanism 7 to the modesty panel 4. The top plate 5 is quadrangular or almost quadrangular, and the moving direction of the top plate 5 is set to a direction inclined to two parallel sides opposed to each other of the top plate 5.
