PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crane having a base isolation structure which can obtain a large base isolation stroke corresponding to large scale earthquake motions, and can also quickly resume cargo handling operation by restoring the crane after the occurrence of an earthquake. SOLUTION: In the quay crane, a leg structure 2 is divided into: an upper structure 3 including an upper sea side leg 10a, an upper land side leg 11a, and an upper horizontal member 13 for connecting the upper sea side leg 10a and the upper land side leg 11a; and a lower structure 4 including a lower sea side leg 10b, a lower land side leg 11b, and a lower horizontal member 14 for connecting the lower sea side leg 10b and the lower land side leg 11b. The quay crane 1 returns the position of the upper structure 3 rocked during the occurrence of the earthquake, by a restoring force obtained from the potential energy of the upper structure 3.
