PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective cover for a box bit tool, which is easy for replacement, and unremovable in use. SOLUTION: This protective cover 1 is installed on the box bit tool 30 having a bar-shaped body part 31 and a distal end box part 33 larger in a diameter than this body part 31 and having a storage space 32 in a cross section adapted to a bolt head part or a nut. The protective cover 1 is composed of cylindrical bodies 2 and 3 externally fit the box bit tool 30 from the root side of the box bit tool 30. A shoulder part 6 to be locked on a step part 35 of the outer peripheral surface of the box bit tool 30, is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical bodies 2 and 3. A regulating means is provided for regulating the movement to the root side of the cylindrical bodies 2 and 3 from a state where the shoulder part 6 is locked on the step part 35.
