<p>Disclosed is a near infrared blocking filter glass which can be used without fear of occurrence of defects or the like since crystals are not easily formed in the glass even in cases where a heat treatment is carried out during a film-forming process that is performed after glass forming or during a manufacturing process of an image pickup device that uses the glass. Specifically disclosed is a near infrared blocking filter glass which is characterized by containing, in cation percent, 25-37% of P5+, 16.2-25% of Al3+, 0.5-40% of R+ (R+ represents the total amount of Li+, Na+ and K+), 0.5-45% of R2+ (R2+ represents the total amount of Mg2+, Ca2+, Sr2+, Ba2+ and Zn2+), 2-10% of Cu2+, 0-1% of Sb3+, and in anion percent, 30-85% of O2- and 15-70% of F-.</p> |
