COLOR DOPPLER IMAGE FORMING METHOD USING BLOOD VESSEL EXTRACTING MASK AND APPARATUS THEREOF

PURPOSE: A color doppler image forming method using blood vessel extracting mask and an apparatus thereof are provided to implement reliable blood vessel C-mode image by extracting a blood vessel from an ultrasound b mode image. CONSTITUTION: In a color doppler image forming method using blood vessel extracting mask and an apparatus thereof, a B mode image forming part(111) forms a B mode image of a target. A blood vessel extracting part(113) extracts the blood vessel in an interested region from the B mode image. A vessel mask formation unit(115) filters extracted blood vessel and makes a blood vessel boundary smooth to form a blood vessel mask of a blood vessel shape. A C-mode image forming part(117) applies the blood vessel mask to the blood vessel image of a C-mode. The color out of the blood vessel mask is removed to generate a color Doppler image of the blood vessel.
