PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a top plate for metal cans capable of suitably correcting a damaged section of a laminated layer caused by spot welding for installing a hand ring while preventing environmental contamination, its correction method, and a correction device. SOLUTION: A correction film 15 for correcting the damaged section 14 of the laminated layer 5 caused by spot welding is formed over a film formation area of a designated zone including the damaged section 14 on one surface of a top plate body 3. The correction film 15 is thermally fused on the film formation area by a heated roller having an outer peripheral surface shape corresponding to a surface shape of the film formation area.
