PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately correct an error component of a two-phase signal for detecting a position. SOLUTION: A position signal correction apparatus has: error correction parts 11, 12 for implementing an error correction calculation using an error coefficient of a two-phase input signal corresponding to a two-phase period signal output from a position detector, and having a phase difference; an arctangent calculation part 13 for implementing an arctangent calculation of the two-phase input signal after the error correction calculation, and generating phase information; regression calculation/Fourier transform parts 17, 18, 21 for implementing a regression calculation of the phase information, and implementing a Fourier transform of the two-phase input signal after the error correction calculation by using a regression prediction value as a reference phase; and an error coefficient update part 24 for correcting the error coefficient by using a Fourier coefficient obtained by the Fourier transform. The regression calculation/Fourier transform parts calculate a regression error of the phase information obtained in a phase range of a plurality of periods, and implement the Fourier transform in the phase range in which the regression error is the minimum.
