PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize each of piles and a beam by reducing the bending moment applied to each of lower ends of column members and upper ends of the piles when a horizontal force is applied to the column members upon an earthquake, and by reducing the bending moment applied to each end of the beam, in a building comprising the two piles arranged in the ground at an interval and respectively extending upward from the ground, the beam between the piles and the column members on the respective piles. SOLUTION: The building includes: the two piles arranged in the ground at an interval and respectively extending upward from the ground; cylindrical members respectively attached on the upper ends of the piles and surrounding the upper ends, of which the upper end faces are positioned at the substantially same height as that of the upper end faces of the piles; the beam arranged between the piles, of which an end is attached to the cylindrical member attached on the upper end of one of the piles while the other end is attached to the cylindrical member attached on the upper end of the other one of the piles; and the column members respectively arranged on the piles.
