PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a siloxane oligomer which imparts a cured coating film excellent in scratch resistance with small amounts of siloxane oligomer having circular structure, and to provide a method for producing the cured coating film using thereof. SOLUTION: The method for producing siloxane oligomer includes reacting an organosilane for t1 hour as a first reaction, and then reacting the organosilane for t2 hours by further adding water as a second reaction, when the hydrolysis condensation of organosilane is carried out using an acidic water, wherein t1 is in the range from 2 minutes to 12 hours, and the ratio of t1 and t2 (t2/t1) is less than 0.8.
