PURPOSE: A method for installing an optical fiber sensor for settlement measurement is provided to remarkably reduce costs by stably installing and recovering an optical fiber sensor. CONSTITUTION: A method for installing an optical fiber sensor for settlement measurement is as follows. A tube(12) for covering an optical fiber sensor(10) is prepared. Fixing units(13) are formed in both ends of the tube to connect the tube to the other tube. The front end of the optical fiber sensor is fixed to the tube. The direction of a rope connected to the optical sensor is switched to insert the optical sensor into a measurement hole. After the optical fiber sensor is inserted into the measurement hole, ground settlement is measured.
