PURPOSE: A steel plate transfer support block joined with polypropylene and granite blocks for a pickling tank and a construction method thereof are provided to ensure effective sliding of steel plates and prevent damage to the bottom of the steel plates during pickling of a steel plate making process. CONSTITUTION: A steel plate transfer support block for a pickling tank comprises a granite block(120) and a polypropylene block(140). A longitudinal protrusion(122) having an inverted-trapezoidal cross section is formed on the top of the granite block. A longitudinal groove(142) receiving the protrusion of the granite block is formed on the bottom of the polypropylene block. The granite block is coupled with the polypropylene block via the protrusion slide-inserted in the groove.
