The indicator (1) has a flange (3) for closing an opening (4), and a level sensor (11) including a substrate equipped with a resistor network. A float is arranged at an end of a lever arm, and co-operates with the network of the level sensor at another end by pivoting the lever arm such that an electrical signal is generated depending on tilt angle of the lever arm in the network. A reading unit (8) is arranged at outside the flange, and includes an antenna (9). The reading unit is connected with a transponder that is provided with the level sensor in an operative connection.
