PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color sorter capable of ensuring the safety of a worker without degrading the appearance of the device even when granular material excessively supplied to a tank is returned to a lifting machine. SOLUTION: The color sorter includes a lifting portion provided with a plurality of lifters for carrying an article to be sorted to a plurality of tanks so as to meet the plurality of tanks; a conveyance means of conveying the article to be sorted stored in at least one tank; and a sorting part for detecting an article to be sorted, dropping from an end of the conveyance means and for sorting articles to be sorted into good or inferior ones based on the detection result. The lifting part is structured to store the plurality of lifters in the housing.
