<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejection apparatus that detects failure in an ink supply path for supplying ink to a recording head from an ink tank. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid ejection apparatus includes: a pressure sensor that detects pressure in the ink supply path; and a decision means that determines whether there is failure in the ink supply path.
