PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a light extraction amount of a cascaded organic electroluminescent device. SOLUTION: The cascaded organic electroluminescent device includes (a) an anode, (b) a cathode, (c) a plurality of organic electroluminescent units which are arranged between the anode and the cathode and include at least a hole transporting layer, an electron transporting layer and an electroluminescent band region formed between the hole transporting layer and the electron transporting layer, and in which a physical interval between the adjoining electroluminescent band regions is larger than 90 nm, and (d) a connecting unit which is arranged between each adjoining organic electroluminescent units and includes in order an n-type doped organic layer and a p-type doped organic layer to form a transparent p-n junction structure and in which each of the doped organic layers has a resistivity higher than 10Ω-cm.
