The method for heating a steel sheet for hot pressing use comprises a step of heating a steel sheet for hot pressing use from a temperature T1 [°C] that falls within the range from room temperature to 350°C to a temperature T2 [°C] that falls within the range from 800 to 1200°C for a predetermined period t [sec] that falls within the range from 1 to 120 seconds, wherein the steel sheet has a coating film that is formed using a coating material comprising a binder and a metal filler, and wherein the predetermined period falls within the range from 1 to 120 seconds in total.
