<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an optical film excellent in planar properties and little in orientation angle deviation, which improves the adhesion between a support and a cast film and suppresses air incorporation in a casting process, and to provide the optical film produced by the method, a polarizing plate using the optical film, and a display. <P>SOLUTION: In the casting process, before a resin solution is cast, activation treatment is applied on the surface of a support to make the surface energy of the surface of the support in contact with both ends in the width direction of the cast film, higher than the surface energy of the surface of the support in contact with the middle part in the width direction of the cast film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
