PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve timing adjustment system capable of releasing a lock mechanism in a short time. SOLUTION: The valve timing adjustment system includes a valve timing adjustment device 10, a fuel pressurizing device 40 as an auxiliary machine, and an electronic control device 30. The valve timing adjustment device 10 includes a housing 18 rotated with one of a driving shaft and a driven shaft, a vane rotor 14 relatively rotatable with respect to the housing 18 while being rotated with the other of the driving shaft and the driven shaft, and a lock pin 26 for locking the vane rotor 14 to the housing 18 in a prescribed phase. The fuel pressurizing device 40 is attached to the driven shaft, and affects the torque variation of the driven shaft. The electronic control device 30 controls locking and releasing of the lock pin 26 and outputting of the fuel pressurizing device 40.
