PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the life of a battery, and also secure sufficient charge capacity required for driving the battery by avoiding deterioration because of long-term continuation of a fully charged state of the battery. SOLUTION: A power circuit 141 charges the battery 142 by receiving supply of power from an external power supply through an AC adaptor 143. The power circuit 141 lowers a charge end capacity indicating capacity for determining to be the fully charged state with a lapse of a preset period after a power supply microcomputer 144 detects that the battery 142 has been charged fully. The power circuit 141 charges the battery 142 to capacity indicated by the charge end capacity, thus avoiding deterioration of the battery 142 by preventing a 100% charged state of the battery 142.
