PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for producing a layered food product, which are capable of easily adjusting a layer thickness and easily combining various kinds of food materials. SOLUTION: The apparatus for producing the layered food product includes a top-opened forming vessel 4, a dough supplying part 1 to supply liquid dough to the forming vessel 4 and form layers of the liquid dough on whole exposed surface in the forming vessel 4, a dough baking part 2 to hold the forming vessel 4 and heat and bake the liquid dough, and a transporting part 3 to transport the forming vessel 4 between the dough supplying part 1 and the dough baking part 2. The layered food product is produced by forming a layer of the liquid dough in the forming vessel 4 by the dough supplying part 1, transporting the forming vessel 4 to the dough baking part 2 by the transporting part 3, baking the liquid dough in the dough baking part 2, and transporting the forming vessel 4 to the dough supplying part 1 by the transporting part 3, and alternately repeating the steps multiple times.
