PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator system which improves the crime-prevention performance of a building having a common floor in part for an unspecified number of people to move in and out, by surely restricting the movement of the unspecified number of people to a predetermined security floor. SOLUTION: An elevator hall 3 is provided on the common floor 1, and a hall 6 is provided on the security floor 2. The hall 3 is opposed to the front side of a car 4. A specified floor 8 is set in a floor area as part of the common floor 1 where a hall 9 is provided in opposition to the rear side of the car 4. The hall 9 is parted from the other area of the specified floor 8 so that an unspecified number of people cannot move into the hall 9. Then, an elevator is controlled so that passengers to move from the common floor 1 to the security floor 2 via the elevator is limited only to ones riding from the hall 9 and passengers moving from the hall 9 to the hall 6 do not ride with passengers riding from the hall 3.
