The element (1) has recesses formed in a lower bumper area (2) of a motor vehicle-front bumper (F). A U-shaped pulled side wall is provided at a front end of the element. A side wall is provided with a free upper bracket and a free lower bracket. The element extends horizontally over width of the front bumper, where the element is designed as a separate cover that is integrated into the lower bumper area by a locking connection and a clip connection. The element is formed from a slightly rigid material i.e. light alloy made of plastic from thermoplastic or fiber-reinforced plastic. An independent claim is also included for a front bumper comprising an upper bumper area and a lower bumper area.
