<p>The method involves determining cross-wind from a difference of signal propagating times between a transceiver unit of ultrasonic sensor units (S1, S2, S7, S8) of a longitudinal side (SL) and other ultrasonic sensor units (S3-S6) of another longitudinal side (SR) of a motor vehicle (K). Transmission signals of the ultrasonic sensor units are synchronized. The cross-wind is determined from displacement of frequency between the transmission signals and a reception signal of the ultrasonic sensor units, where the ultrasonic sensor units are arranged on the longitudinal sides of the motor vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a device for performing a method for detecting cross-wind of a motor vehicle.</p> |
