<p>The present invention discloses a pneumatic therapeutic device (PTD) for preventing and/or treating deep vein thrombosis (DVT). The device comprises: at least one inflatable bladder adapted to be inflated and deflated; a controller; and, a sleeve adapted to embrace a calf portion of a limb, the at least one inflatable bladder is adapted to be mechanically connected to the sleeve via attaching means. The sleeve consists of at least two portions: (i) a sufficiently elastic portion; and (ii) an inelastic portion.</p> |
