Disclosed is a cosmetic comprising a liquid component (A) (a polyhydric alcohol) as a solvent and a solid component (B) (a salt of hyaluronic acid) as a solute, i.e., a cosmetic comprising at least the component (A) (a polyhydric alcohol) and the component (B) (a salt of hyaluronic acid) as the essential components. The cosmetic may additionally comprise an ester as a component (C) in addition to the components (A) and (B), and may additionally comprise a nonionic surfactant in addition to the components (A), (B) and (C). When the nonionic surfactant is contained in the cosmetic, a non-polar hydrocarbon solvent and a fatty acid glycerin ester can be added to the cosmetic.
