<p>Disclosed is a magnetic engine capable of high-speed rotation of a rotation shaft with little torque and without rotating a permanent magnet, and also capable of suppressing the occurrence of sparks and wear of a distribution switch. The magnetic engine is provided with: at least one electromagnet (11); pistons (12b, 13b), which face at least one pole of the electromagnet, are arranged so as to reciprocate in the piston cylinders (12a, 13a) along an axis passing through said pole; crankshafts (16, 17) which are connected via connecting rods (14, 15) to the pistons and which are driven to rotate by the reciprocating motion of the pistons; at least one permanent magnet (18, 19) fixed to the pistons; and a distribution switch (20, 21) which switches the polarity or the on/off state of the electromagnet during rotation of the crankshafts. The magnetic engine (10) is configured such that the distribution switch switches the polarity or the on/off state of the electromagnet such that an attraction force is exercised on the permanent magnet in the region in which the permanent magnet is approaching the electromagnet, and/or, a repelling force is exercised on the permanent magnet when the permanent magnet is in the region in which the permanent magnet is moving away from the electromagnet.</p> |
