PURPOSE: A dual-layered catalyst system for removing nitrogen oxide is provided to enhance catalyst activity at low temperature and to ensure excellent nitrogen oxide removal efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A double-layered catalyst system for removing nitrogen oxide contains silver-supported alumina, copper-supported catalyst, and reducing agent. C1-C5 low alcohol contains the reducing agent. The copper-supported catalyst is selected from the group consisting of CuZSM5, CuY, CuMOR, CuBEA, and CuFER. The copper-supported catalyst contains 2-4 weight% of Cu.
