This present invention relates to a structure which improves the means through which an automotive airbag unit is supported by a steering support member and instrument panel, reduces the size and weight of the airbag unit and peripheral structures, and improves the assembly productivity of the airbag unit. The airbag unit support structure comprises a 1st support member (3) which supports an airbag unit (2) on a steering support member (1) and a 2nd support member (5) which supports the airbag unit on an instrument panel (4). The 1 st and 2nd support members are integral components of a single fastening part (6). The airbag unit is supported by the steering support member through the 1st support member and by the instrument panel through the 2nd support member with the steering support member and instrument panel being directly connected by the fastening part. |
