PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric heater capable of maintaining a basic shape in spite of softening during heating and easily installing, to provide a manufacturing method for the electric heater, and to provide a furnace equipped with the electric heater. SOLUTION: The electric heater has a plate-shaped heating element 10 where a current passage is formed by forming slits, and insulators 20 for supporting the heating element 10. The heating element 10 is supported by the insulators 20 at a pair of width-directional ends 13, 13 located in a width direction of the slits of the heating element 10. The heating element 10 has an arc shape convexed downward between the pair of width-directional ends 13, 13. The width-directional end 13 is inserted into a groove 23 formed on the insulator 20 in an approximately vertical direction Z, and the width-directional end 13 is locked in the groove 23 of the insulator 20.
