PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information reproducing apparatus that simply reports selection condition of selection items (such as selectable period). SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: a reading means that reads video data; a detection means that detects the selectable period of the selection items from control information of one or the multiple selection items included in the video data; and a reproducing means that starts to reproduce the selection items based on the video data, controls the selectable period that decreases according to the start of reproduction of the selection items and reproduces display information of the selectable period that varies according to the decrease in the selectable period.
