PURPOSE: A glasses apparatus for watching three-dimensional images and a method for driving the same are provided to increase the concentration of a screen by blocking light transmitting through remaining regions excluding the screen. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of glass parts(140) transmits light corresponding to displayed screens. A sensor(110) senses the position and the distance of a glasses apparatus. An estimating part(120) estimates the screen size and the shape of a display unit according to the sensed result of the sensor. A controlling part(130) activates regions among light transmitting regions of the glass parts corresponding to the screens according to the result of the estimating part. Remained regions are deactivated.
