979,873. Plastics containers. R. MAUSER, A. MAUSER, and P. MAUSER. April 11, 1963 [July 9, 1962], No. 14537/63. Heading B8D. A container of plastics material, e.g. polyethylene, has curved junctions between its walls, the radius r of the junctions being approximately one-quarter of the breadth S of the narrower side walls, and the radius R of the junctions, taken along the diagonal line VI-VI, Fig. 2, being approximately half the breadth S. The container has a handle 3 and inset base 8 for stacking. A depression 9 acts as a hand hold in pouring. In a modification, Figs. 6-8 (not shown), the curved portions of the container are corrugated. The side walls may have concave channels on one side of the container and convex channels on the other side which interfit with similar containers packed adjacent to them. |
