<p>The invention relates to an energy conversion apparatus between mechanical and electrical energy. In order to create a new geometry for the important system components of electric motors and electric generators, it is proposed to stationary arrange permanent magnets (14) in a ring-shape or in the inside of a ring. This ring including the permanent magnets (14) is then moved through the inside of the windings (16, 18) of a number of coils, which are stationary arranged along the ring circumference. Thereby, drive coils (16) are temporarily, chronologically exactly controlled powered. These coils accelerate the permanent magnets (14). Generator coils (18) may be used to decelerate the permanent magnets (14) and to feed the current into a current storage.</p> |
