The invention relates to a cosmetic product which is effectively used for controlling dandruff on hairy body surfaces and which contains an active combination of A) 0.5 to 20% by weight of at least one anionic sulfate surfactant and/or sulfonate surfactant, B) 0.05 to 5% by weight of zinc pyrithion of a particle size < 2 µm and C) 0.05 to 5% by weight of a cationic polygalactomannane or of a derivative of the cationic polygalactomannane having a cationic charge density of 0.1 - 1.5 meq/g and a molecular weight of 500,000 to 3,000,000. Treating hair with the product according to the invention also helps reduce the likelihood of a relapse of dandruff formation once the product is no longer used.
