The system includes a monitoring device (200) coupled to the wind turbine and configured to provide one or more monitoring signals including at least one of an audio signal and an image signal, and a monitoring controller (420) communicatively coupled to the monitoring device and is configured to provide baseline data representative of normal operation of the wind turbine, create operating data based on a monitoring signal received from the monitoring device, compare the operating data to the baseline data to determine a deviation, and transmit a deviation notification when the deviation exceeds a threshold.
