PURPOSE: A trommel and a machine for sorting waste are provided to disassemble waste with collisions and drops, and to prevent a selective hole from obstructing with the impact at this time. CONSTITUTION: The trammel(40) is composed of a trommel screen(410); and a waste drying unit(450). The trommel screen is formed into a laterally long shaped drum. Both ends of the trommel screen is formed into a waste inserting inlet(412); and an exhausted outlet(414). The circumference of the trommel screen is formed into a porous structure. The trommel screen revolves around an axis line passing by the central part of the circumference. The waste drying unit dries waste put into within the trommel screen. The waste drying unit includes a hot-air generator and an air duct building motion. The air duct building motion forms an air duct providing the hot sir from the hot-air generator to the trommel screen.
