PURPOSE: A motor-driven power steering device is provided to reduce rattle noise and to enhance assembling performance without a separate damper by providing stable and appropriate damping performance against load input reversely from a steering wheel. CONSTITUTION: A motor-driven power steering device comprises a worm wheel hub(3), a worm wheel gear(7) and a damping unit(9). The worm wheel hub is mounted on a steering shaft(1). The worm wheel gear makes the same axis to the worm wheel hub to form the worm wheel. The worm wheel gear comprises gear tooth to be engaged with a worm shaft(5). The damping unit transfers torque between the worm wheel gear and the worm wheel hub. The damping unit elastically absorbs the radial relative displacement and the circumferential relative displacement between the worm wheel hub and the worm wheel gear. The damping unit comprises a needle roller and a leaf spring. The needle roller is inserted into both a hub groove and a gear groove.
