<p>A sliding wrist support for use with a computer mouse has a body which is substantially circular or elliptical in plan; the body comprising a hollow flexible resilient moulded cushion 2 of elastomeric material which is bonded around a lower peripheral edge 4 to a rigid polyacetal base 6 to at least partially surround a fluid-filled or gel-filled cavity 14; and wherein the cushion 2 has a circumferential side surface 16 which is inclined or curved radially inwardly over the greater part of its height and extends into an upper surface having a concave central recess 18, such that when the cushion 2 is in an uncompressed state, the central recess 18 has a depth corresponding to between 40% and 70% of the total depth of the cushion 2 and a maximum width or diameter corresponding to or greater than at least 50% of the maximum width of the base 6. The fluid may be air, oil or water. An embodiment has a diaphragm (120, fig 7) bounding the cavity at a lower end. The base may have feet (19, fig 1). The cushion may be rubber with annular and radial ribs (fig 6).</p> |
