PURPOSE: A defrosting device for a refrigerator is provided to increase energy efficiency by easily determining a defrosting point for removing frost by taking images of frost from an evaporator using a camera. CONSTITUTION: A defrosting device for a refrigerator comprises an evaporator(10), a camera(20) and a defrosting device. The camera takes images of frost from the evaporator. The camera is installed on the upper end of the evaporator. The defrosting device removes frost based on the images taken by the camera.
