摘要 PURPOSE: Device and method for predicting nozzle clogging thickness of a continuous casting process are provided to enhance productivity since the clogging thickness of a nozzle can be accurately predicted and thus wrong determining on the state of a nozzle does not occur. CONSTITUTION: A device for predicting nozzle clogging thickness of a continuous casting process comprises a first vibration measuring sensor, second vibration measuring sensor(100,200,300) and a calculating unit(500). The first nozzle measuring sensor measures the vibration of a nozzle. The second vibration measuring sensor measures the vibration of a non-nozzle structure. The calculating unit converts the vibration signals of each vibration measuring sensor to frequency signals using FFT(Fast Fourier Transform). The calculating unit removes the frequency signals of the second vibration measuring sensor from the frequency signals of the first vibration measuring sensor.
