<p>The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus (1) for reading data from and/or writing data to an optical recording medium (13), the data being stored as marks (132) having different lengths. Marks (132) having a length below a predetermined length are read or written with a first wavelength, whereas marks (132) having a length above the predetermined length are read or written with a second wavelength larger than the first wavelength.
