PURPOSE: An umbrella-type Automatic Tool Changer is provided to simplify the structure of the ATC by stabilizing a tool gripper assembly using a torsion spring. CONSTITUTION: An umbrella-type Automatic Tool Changer(200) comprises a wheel(24), a bracket, a shaft pin, a tool gripper, and a torsion spring. The wheel is installed in one side of a body frame(10) and is rotated around a shaft(22). The bracket is installed on the outer surface of the shaft pin. A guide roller of the tool gripper is rolled along the outer side surface of a head spindle(12). One side of the torsion spring is fixed to one side of the bracket, and the other side is fixed to one side of the tool gripper. The torsion spring applies restoring force to the tool gripper. |
