DRIVER AIRBAG MODULE FOR VEHICLE

PURPOSE: An airbag module for a driver's seat for a vehicle is provided to minimize impact applied to a driver since a movable cover is completely opened and a part of an airbag cushion is spread to the read of a steering wheel. CONSTITUTION: An airbag module(10) for a driver's seat for a vehicle comprises a housing(20), an inflator(30), a cushion(40) and a cover. The housing is installed on the center of a steering wheel(2). The inflator generates inflation gas in collision of a vehicle. The cushion is spread by inflation gas supplied from the inflator. The cover comprises a tear line, a movable cover(53) and lower covers(54,55). The tear line is ruptured when the cushion is spread. The movable cover covers up the top of the tear line. The movable cover rotates to the rear of the steering wheel and is completely spread when the cushion is spread. The lower covers cover the lower parts of the tear line and are spread to both sides.
